Non Ridden Equine Friendly Welfare & Rescue Organisations

Touchdown Memorial Home for Horses takes in horses and ponies who require a safe home whether through age or infirmity, through emotional issues or through a genuine need on the part of the previous owner, such as illness or bereavement. 

The Exmoor Pony Project is helping to safeguard, promote and encourage better understanding and treatment of endangered, native Exmoor ponies, the Exmoor Pony Project was founded by Nick and Dawn Westcott. Dawn is author of the Wild Pony Whispering books, which explore core energy connection, herd dynamics and liberty training. The ponies are trained in herd recall and help people to connect with the breed - and themselves at Dawn’s workshops. Based in Exmoor National Park. 

Fenland Pastures CIC in Doddington, Cambridgeshire is run by Rebecca Meredith. They are a sanctuary for retired horses specialising in laminitic and unrideables. They occasionally also do rescue work. Their animals take part in interaction sessions with people going through difficult circumstances.
