These organisations rely on our support, donations and volunteering. Adopting one horse won't change the world, but it will change the world for that one horse. Many welfare organisations rely on us to help, be that with time, money, expertise, donations of tack etc....You can make a huge difference in some way.

Your new best friend is looking for a forever home. Below in no particular order we have listed organisations that can assist you in finding you a perfect match with your next equine partner.

World Welfare for Horses. Re-home from World Welfare for Horses, you are offering a horse who may have had a poor start in life a loving home, you aslo free space at their centre for more horses or ponies in need. 

Horses4Homes helps to re-home horses and to educate the public in matters pertaining to animal welfare in general and the prevention of cruelty and suffering among animals.

National Equine Welfare Council has a website with a wealth of contact details for Equine Sanctuary's and an extensive catalogue of welfare material. 

Redwings Horse Sanctuary currently rehome from East Anglia, Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Hertfordshire. Check out their website or follow them on Facebook for the latest updates from the rehoming team.

Sussex Horse Rescue believe every horse, pony and donkey has the right to be part of a loving family where it will be cared for and loved to the end of its natural life.

Blue Cross find happy homes for abandoned or unwanted horses and ponies. Plus they run a rehome direct scheme. Along with promoting welfare and providing treatment.

HAPPA continually strives to improve and promote equine welfare through rescue, rehabilitation, rehoming and education.

RSPCA/Horses  have lots of horses and ponies waiting to be rehomed throughout England and Wales. 

RSPCA Lockwood Centre for Horses & Donkeys are an equine centre which rehabilitates and rehomes horses, ponies and donkeys. 

Bransby Horses run the Friend for Life rehoming scheme. This offers some of their equines the chance to enjoy life in a carefully selected loan home. 

The Flicka Foundation Give a safe, happy home for life to all their rescued donkeys and horses. Their adoption packs make lovely gifts for birthdays, special occasions, Christmas or 'just because', all whilst helping to ensure the future of the charity's vital work.

Horse World Animal Adoption scheme is a simple but fun way of contributing to the work of the charity, and you could have a best friend for life.

Essex Horse and Pony Protection Society aim is to put any of their rehabilitated horses or ponies that are suitable for re-homing into experienced and knowledgeable foster homes.

Hoofbeats Equine Rehabilitation Sanctuary  has a passion for rehabilitation, sanctuary and well being of equines. Their primary aim is to re-home on a permanent loan basis, to homes that have been approved and are regularly monitored. (Priority is given to the South West)

Devon Horse and Pony Sanctuary Suitable and rehabilitated animals are found caring new loan homes but are always able to return to the Sanctuary if circumstances change.

The Mare and Foal Sanctuary. The Sanctuary’s aims are not just to rescue neglected, unwanted or abused horses but  to rehabilitate, train and eventually rehome them into loving, knowledgeable environments. We focus on educating people on the care and welfare of these beautiful creatures.

Bodmin Moorland Pony Rehabilitation provides rehabilitation to enable feral, emaciated ponies the second chance at life. They try to give these wonderful natured ponies the foundations to become fantastic family companions, riding ponies or best friends.

My Lovely Horse Rescue are a not-for-profit organisation, in the Dublin and Leinster area, run by volunteers. They rescue, rehabilitate and re-home Ireland's neglected, abandoned and abused horses, ponies and donkeys.

Hillside Animal Sanctuary have given sanctuary to 2500 horses, ponies and donkeys, many of our residents have been rescued from the farming industry.

Hope Pastures rescue, rehabilitate and re-home horses, ponies and donkeys in need and give people the chance to meet these animals and learn about them and how to look after them.

The Donkey Sanctuary When you adopt a donkey your support will reach donkeys around the world. It will buy food and medicine, pay for vets and farriers, as well as education and training. Plus help the sanctuary rescue helpless donkeys from hopeless situations.

Crosskennan Lane Animal Sanctuary is a registered charity situated close to Antrim in Northern Ireland. They are committed to helping all kinds of animals - mainly horses and ponies, but also dogs, cats, rabbits and chickens. 

All For Horses is a small charity that finds good homes for unwanted horses, providing the care, rehabilitation and training they need in the meantime. 

Touchdown Memorial Home for Horses takes in horses and ponies who require a safe home whether through age or infirmity, through emotional issues or through a genuine need on the part of the previous owner, such as illness or bereavement.
